Our Founder and Owner, Robin Blaisdell, is trained in the discipline of Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Hot Stone Massage, Hot Bamboo Massage, Post Operative Lymphatic Drainage, Prenatal Massage, Sports Massage and Cupping Massage. We also offer our exclusive Himalayan Hot Salt Massage technique the was created by Robin that she developed into a training program to teach other massage therapists.
Meet our Founder and Owner...Robin Blaisdell
Robin Blaisdell, MS LMT 969, NCBTMB approved Provider 1215, MAP 137, has been a massage therapist since 2005. She has been blessed to work in many different massage therapy environments. The experience led her to a partnership with Penn Gaming’s Hollywood Casino Hotel in Robinsonville, Mississippi. This partnership allowed her to open the first location of Spa Around the Corner inside the Casino during the Fall of 2014.
It was through this partnership that the door was opened to a teaching position as a Massage Therapy Instructor with Concorde Career College in Southaven, Mississippi. These opportunities afforded the knowledge and experience to write her first continuing education curriculum and become a Nation Board Certified CEU Provider. Developing the curriculum into a DVD course allowed her to debut it at the American Massage Therapy Association National Convention in 2016. The Networking opportunity at the Convention provided a contact with Massage Magazine who was interested in the services she offers. This connection provided her the opportunity to write an article for the magazine that was published on February 9, 2017.
While running her own business, she also worked as an Independent Contractor for several Chiropractors and other Spa locations all over the Mid-South. All these experiences have led her to opening her new spa location for Spa Around the Corner in Hernando, Mississippi. She has been fortunate to develop her techniques and hone her skills in such a unique way. She is truly thankful for all the twists and turns the path has taken to make her into the Massage Therapist that she is today.
